Welcome

We of the Carrollton Tea Party are dedicated to preserving, protecting, promoting, and defending the liberties and freedoms embodied in the Constitution of the United States.

We are a non-profit conservative grassroots organization, promoting activism in local and state issues. We are non-partisan, and do not support any particular political party. We are an all volunteer organization.  While we are based in Carrollton, Texas, other grassroots conservatives from other places are also members of our group, too. They come from places like Flower Mound and Lewisville.

We hold forums in which candidates for local seats are invited to speak, and we also attend local city council, city planning, and school board meetings.

The Problem with Collectivism

sheepCollectivism has been tried in many forms in human history and always failed.

The most recent examples include the Soviet Union, Cuba, and even Venesula. A recurring trait of a collectivist government is bureaucratic cronyism, for the good of the people of course. A representative republic tends to keep this in check, but rampant democracy coupled with a very good propaganda machine, can sell enough of the public on the collectivist approach.
